About the Host

Our family’s bond with the Sierra Nevada runs deep. We spent our childhoods in Twain Harte and Pinecrest — swimming in pristine lakes, wandering endless trails, and embracing the serenity of the mountains. Nature has always been our sanctuary.

When our son was born with a serious medical condition, our lives transformed. We learned to live in the present, cherish every moment, and prioritize meaningful connections. This journey inspired us to find a place where we could heal and reconnect as a family.

That dream became our cabin — a true sanctuary, brimming with laughter, love, and gratitude. Now, we’re honored to share this special place with you — whether you seek adventure, tranquility, or cherished moments with loved ones.

We named our company Wilder Phoenix Retreats after our children’s middle names. “Wilder” embodies our love for nature and adventure, while “Phoenix” symbolizes resilience, hope, and new beginnings. Together, they reflect our journey and the heart behind every space we share.
